Since my last real post, it has been a busy two months. Busy in the vacation sense, not the going to work type of busy. After graduation, I had a great time sailing around Croatia for a week, and then had a few days of hanging around London. On August 4th, Bethany and I left to go to South Africa for 11 nights. We flew into Cape Town and spent a few days there before getting into the car and driving the Garden Route to Port Elizabeth. On the way we stopped in Stellenbosch, Hermanus, and Plettenberg Bay. After a few days of driving, we dropped the car off in Port Elizabeth and headed to Kwandwe Private Game reserve where we spent 3 nights and rode on several game drives where we got the chance to see more animals than we would ever expect. Really good time!
We left South Africa and flew for about 28 hours (routing through London) to get to New York where we then set off for Silas and Jamile's wedding, which was a great party. I was one of the ushers, and did an amazingly competent job of handing out programs.
We then spent two weeks in the states visiting parents and friends. Before leaving, we made it out to Kim and Rahul's wedding in New Jersey which was huge.
Now I am spending a few days in London recuperating from non-stop travel before starting at my new job. Unfortunately, due to visa issues, I will be starting a week later than I had hoped for. I guess an extra week of not working, before I go back to work for the rest of my life, is not that bad a thing. Besides, I have the Rugby World Cup to watch.
