The 2006 London Media Summit, which I have been working on for the past few months, finally happened on Friday. It was a full day of Media Industry keynotes and panels on the topic of "Compelling Content". As the treasurer of the Media Club at London Business School, I had to keep track of the accounts and ticket sales, maintain the website (http://www.londonmediasummit.com) and manage one of the panels ("Content, Creativity and Cash"). It was a hugely successful event and there are already stories popping up in the FT, paidcontent.org, and CBS MarketWatch (mainly about EMI CEO Alain Levy's keynote speach where he announced the death of the CD.)
Working on the event has definitely given me some new found respect for event organisers. I am now just looking forward to life returning to something resembling "normal". I have a lot of work in my classes this term (Analytical Marketing, New Venture Development and Negotitations & Bargaining) and also have been busy in the job search. This week alone I have 3 interviews with some consultancies and am hoping to hear back from a major technology company about whether they want to interview me or not.
Six weeks left in the term, and then I am headed to Argentina with my Rugby Club and then back to New York for Christmas with the family and New Year's with some friends.
